X Events (Case Study)
Ahh the beautiful world of events... I know that I can’t be the only person out here that is missing the bass resonating through my body. Even just some live music at your local hangout with some friends would be nice. Am I right? We’ve all had to adjust because of it and instead of dwelling on what has happened, we have chosen to embrace that which is currently happening.
We were fortunate enough to have spent the past 5 years handling media coverage at events ranging from small-scale events like corporate celebrations and private Club events to festivals of mass proportions. This was in part due to our relationship with X Events. At these various events, the X Events team built installations and created experiences for the patrons that they would remember years after the event ended. Our time with them included adventures of us traveling across the country. Together, we’ve compiled stories that span from coast to coast. Out on the west coast, in beautiful British Columbia, we joined the X Events team at Shambhala. What a truly magical experience. We also made our way over to the east coast once with the X Events team when we paired up to do some work with St. Francis Xavier University. In our home province of Ontario, we captured the experiences lived at Digital Dreams, VELD, Rock The Park, EverAfter, Escapade, and of Canada 150 in many different cities. You better believe that we have the travel bug and we will be pursuing more work that allows us to travel both nationally and internationally!
The Envision Concepts team was responsible for capturing photography and videography to preserve the memories forevermore. Besides covering what is already a part of our agreement with X Events we like to go out of our way to make sure that the whole operation goes smoothly. What does that mean? The X Events team not only walked away with their media content, which varied between video, photo, audio, and live streaming but they also always had that extra support that was required at most events. There have been situations where help was needed in the last few moments of setup - which can happen for any given reason like staff not showing up and equipment not functioning. Regardless of what the volatile Events Industry fires our way on that day, we were always able to end the day with a laugh. As the experiences compiled our library of work grew and because we’ve housed all of their footage we can re-cut promotional videos for them with minimal notice. For more on X Events.
As our lives continued to change beyond our control we decided to regroup and ask ourselves what we really wanted to do more with our lives. How can we continue to build on what we’ve already done? By reflecting on our experience with X Events we were able to redefine the way that we approached our work within the world of media content. We want to thank the team at X Events for trusting us and the work that we do!
